Prediction

You know -- after we spend hundreds of millions to rebuild the devasted island of Sumatra in the next few years -- the left will continue to bitch and moan that GWB is not doing enough.

And IF in however many years ONE person who lives there, visited there or thought about visiting Sumatra is involved in a terrorist attack on the US, the very same lefties will be the ones pointing fingers at that evil George W. Bush. "He rebuilt that area and funded terrorists!"

Mark my words.

You're absolutely right Moxie. And no matter how much President Bush gives them in aid, it will never be enough either.

Posted by: Zelda at January 3, 2005 7:25 PM

President Bush is not giving them one penny of aid. You are. It's your money. And it will be far from the first time we have bought the ammunition (yes, real, not figuratively) that will (yes, we're at war) be used against us. The 'Tamil Tigers' are not a High School football team.

mOX,

You are freaking prescient!! Unbelievable!! I was just having a drink with some buddies down at the stable and I told them the same thing!! They went on eating their oats but hay I know they were listening and by the way flicker says hi! I read your blog to them every day. They get a real kick out of that Mikey guy, you all do it seems. What is his problem? He says some real weird shit and you guys really rank on his old lady, very cool.

But it is so true!! Bush cannot do enough for these freaks and what ever he does do, god bless'em, they will twist it into something bad, fer christ's fucking sake! THis time he won the election fair and fucking on the square and they still hate him. Ya think its because he's a little dim? Flicker thought it might be organic and he would know his sire being a neurologist and all. But look how they've twisted this thing we are doing for thoses fucking....don't get me started... Iraqi's? Would ya just look! They're going to vote soon! Can you fucking believe it? VOTE! That's like one of the ten commandments, right? Soon they'll have electricity and water and lots of help selling their oil. (Don't tell anybody buy I heard BurgerKing sent a real estate person over to see about renting a store front) And the live Iraqui's all have two hands now and only their brothers in Cuba are being tortured! Two hands, what a gift and so close to after christmas too! That'll help when they press those touchy scream voting things. Its a great gift really it is. I hear Bush is predicting that only 15 million iraqi's a day will be blown up by the end of the year! Oh, wait, that can't be right? That was Mr Powell, (he is so powerful why aint he president?) offering lunch to the sumatrese people to help after their big flood and Bush musta said 100 a day, that seems right.

Moxie, Are you sure you are not that dark haired, doe eyed babe on Olive with the dark upper lip and the neon palm out front? (I wanted to asked her out, but her mom gave me such a look, could'a killed their bear if it hadn't been looking the other way) I'd pay you good money to see what you could tell me about my future too! You seem so....sensible and awares, generous wit spirit and well..... warm and I mean that in a nice way. I know you could help me find my way in this troubled world. Just put a white chalk mark on stall B-381 at Santa Anita and I'll know to come by. See you soon, i hope.

Mike, when you're done filling a disposable diaper, you're supposed to discard it, not smoke it.

Posted by: Steve H. at January 3, 2005 9:10 PM

"The terrorists from Sumatra."

Dude, you are a hoot.

Posted by: anonymous at January 3, 2005 9:12 PM

Steve, I think he snorted it, but that's just a small detail.

Posted by: Moxie [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 3, 2005 9:15 PM

Hey,

WOuld it have been better if I had simply suggested that Moxie retitle the thread:

ADVANCE WHINES-vintages I know I will love.

??

Foreign Aid should be stopped. The world hates us anyways, I say we keep our money and use it to make bigger more powerful bombs to fight the possible threat from Sumatra. :p

Go Nationals! F' Anacostia!

Steve H-
I have a question for you:

When do you stop thinking about shit in all its permutations? (When you stop eating it mike!) Do you know what stage of your development that indicates you have not resolved? "If you don't stop coming into the living room with your PJ's soiled I am going to punish you, young man!!" Remember that? (All I remember is you filling your smelly diaper with your libshit diatribes, mike).

Today we find it as unpleasant as you parents did last week.

Posted by: mike at January 4, 2005 9:38 AM

Mike,

Think you can get your point across without the profanity? Speaking of parents, I'm sure yours would be really proud to see what you've posted on this website. I enjoy moxie's commentary and wit but when you use that much profanity at once it detracts from the point you're trying to make. Also makes you look ignorant.

Moxie,

You couldn't be more right. I listened to Shawn Hannity's radio show today and he was debating a liberal on this very issue. Apparently, President Bush didn't do enough in the 1st 24 hours. Unbelievable. How does she know? Having been prior military(and low level at that), the american public isn't told everything. I saw photos of the fields(!) of iranians that sadam gassed with nerve agent(now declassified) in 1989! How does she know what was being organized in the 1st 24-48 hours? I takes a lot of planning to get this many troops/equipment deployed.

"(Don't tell anybody buy I heard BurgerKing sent a real estate person over to see about renting a store front)"

Mike needs to watch the "Something Wal-Mart This Way Comes" episode of South Park. It'll teach him that the evil imperialist American retail giants and fast-food chains overseas don't force the citizens of the host nations to buy their shit at gunpoint. Don't blame the multi-national corporations for expanding overseas, blame the consumers that buy their stuff and sustain their operations. If the Iraqis don't like our Burger King, they can shop at the locally owned competitor, Burger Sheik, on the next block. It's all about choices and competition. It's basic capitalist economics, Mike.

"And the live Iraqui's all have two hands now and only their brothers in Cuba are being tortured!"

Crimea fuckin' River.......

Would you be alright if we sent a few of those "poor, innocent detainees" to live with you under your custody in your home for several months? They'll be living under house arrest while enjoying your humane conditions, but there's a catch, Mike. If any of these loveable house guests escape from your custody and harm a single American citizen, you get sent to Gitmo in their place for being stupid and harboring a terrorist that should've been caged like an animal all along........

Posted by: reagan80 at January 4, 2005 5:39 PM

You got that right.

Posted by: Mad Mikey [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 5, 2005 9:27 AM

Doctor T-

I will try to find words you are more comfortable reading. What you and my parents think about my ability to express myself is very important to me. My father always told me that profanity was just a substitute for lack of imagination.

Dr Raygun

Maybe I should watch a little more south park. But did you happen to see the adult program on Frontline about Wal-Mart? Not a pretty picture. Good old fashioned capitalism is a myth. Corporate collusion and monopolization have made your antiquated view obsolete. Global corportocracies (?) are operating with a very different set of conditions and rules that produce very little competition in the "free" market place. It is similar to what the Republicans did in their latest gerrymandering of the Texas congressional districts. No contest in the new districts. And like a voter who cannot move to another district, many businesses cannot compete with massive companies that control the market place through buying power, willingness to ignore profit when trying to win a market and control of foreign suppliers. Watch the show

After seeing the way Mike builds an argument, who here would be brave enough to sit on one of his homemade chairs?

Posted by: Steve H. at January 5, 2005 5:24 PM

mike, Reagan is dead. Quit calling him names while debating Reagan80 and MOVE THE FUCK ON!

Posted by: perfectd at January 6, 2005 9:04 PM

Perfected,

When did he die? I must have missed it.

Oh, this is one of your clever humorous comments, right?

SteveH,

Let me know when you have built anything other than a smarmy paragraph.

Posted by: mike at January 7, 2005 1:09 PM

"But did you happen to see the adult program on Frontline about Wal-Mart? Not a pretty picture. Good old fashioned capitalism is a myth."

Frontline? You mean that show on PBS? The same PBS that needs government funding in order to operate? The same PBS that is threatened when free market, fiscal conservatives are in power? Yeah, it doesn't surprise me that one of their programs would bash Wal-Mart and good, old-fashioned capitalism.

Posted by: reagan80 at January 7, 2005 1:49 PM

Raygun,

You are sounding more and more like an dumb ass every day. You clearly are not so why the pretense?

Do you really know so little about PBS and the structure of media in general that you confuse a network with production companies? Think of the university you attend and the text books your teachers have you read. Got it?

Just watch the show and make informed comments it is more becoming of a person getting a higher education with the assistance of my hard earned money. Are you really ready to commit to the idea that the "freemarket" is the best arbiter of value? Remember BEta tape? Apple computers?

Posted by: mike at January 8, 2005 8:24 AM

I haven't, nor would I suggest anyone donate anything more than a rotten apple core to these people. Maybe these countries could clean up their act, then we can help them clean up their mess.
