You know you had a good idea when....

Scarborough Country is a day behind you.

Tony alerted me to MSNBC's on-air take of the scientific experiment regarding Hollywood anti-semite Mel Gibson. Hmmmm, looks familiar.

Where did I see that before?

Oh yes!!

HERE on Moxie yesterday.

It was also somehow Metafiltered, too.

Someone should pay me to be me.

Steve H scooped me on my own scoop!

Scarbro(or his producers) didn't take that opportunity to invite you on the show or something? Oh well, their loss.

Congrats nevertheless, Moxie!

That's not even cool. You get a brilliant idea, then somebody else uses it-not that I'm accussing him of stealing it-and millions of people see it while you get no credit.

Oh, wait, this is MSNBC we're talking about. Well, a few thousand people is a few thousand people.

Yes, a few thousand viewers, indeed. MSNBC isn't even a pox on Fox News's ass.

Anyway, I emailed them. Maybe I should put the rest of my comment into a post of its own. Steve and I both saw NBC IP's in our referrals. I'd at least like them to say they didn't see it, rather than ignore my emails.

You too can email them, at joe@msnbc.com with the subject line "Hey, Mike."

Sounds like fun. Why do I miss all the good stuff?

I'll pay you to be a french maid.......

What happened to the post after this one...about Scarborough and the MSM comments? Just a little curious.

Jamese, I decided to let it go and removed the post. After giving it thought, there was no point in dwelling on it.

But my promise to never post anything interesting ever again, still stands!

Posted by: Moxie at August 5, 2006 11:20 PM

Well gosh, I really like you!!! Please continue to be interesting.

With the basic context that a famous guy says very specific bad things at 0.12 blood alcohol and blames it on the alcohol, it is at least POSSIBLE that among the 30 cable news shows a night and 1000's of news blogs and untold local news programs, there could be TWO Einsteins working on the story and not just one, each INDEPENDENTLY thinking just how much alcohol makes a person say those bad things. It's a stretch, but maybe it's not impossible for this idea to originate in more than one solitary source. Now, if you had done it in a Lexus, or at 87 MPH, maybe THEN you could wonder ...
