I like the arched back. But the pink jacket should be standard at firing ranges.

Yeah, "the blonde chick" might have been more recognizable in white go-go boots but that would have looked tacky between Labor Day and Memorial Day.
Steve H, on the other hand, will be looking for a coin smaller than a dime to measure his groupings.
I, on the other hand, was pleased with continued progress in my proficiency with the 1911 at different distances. Not bad for a guy who was denied squirtguns that looked like guns in his childhood. Proof that liberalism IS curable... thank goodness.

YESSS!!!
Aaron has good taste in sidearms. Since he mentioned the 1911, I'm going to make this my new desktop background. Gawd, I can't wait to get one of 'em!

Who's the skinny guy in the bottom photo? Can't be Steve, I hear he's fat.

The Springfield's make me drool. Would love a pair, one a longslide and the other a Mil-Spec.
Steve has great taste, but chose a Glock 9mm as an easier "first time" pistol for "the blonde chick" and he showed me the potential of the 1911 I was using by carving a nice little hole where he was aiming. I think Steve could make a target last forever.

remove the apostrophe from "Springfield's"

Indeed, Aaron, indeed.
"Who's the skinny guy in the bottom photo?"
Until I read the caption, I actually thought it was a pic of Glenn Reynolds. I shit you not.

Heh...indeed.

I LOVED the 1911...but had I not suffered through the Glock 9mm...I never would have known the difference.
Plus it was with the 1911 that I shot squarely in the target's lower intestine. And that was actually where I was aiming.
Steve and Aaron will vouch for me...first time shooting a pistol and I never hit outside the colored silhouette. My late Grandfather the hunter would be proud.
Hog/Mox podcast coming up later...I have to figure out how to make the file size smaller...

I don't think I could handle seeing Steve and Aaron Vogue.

For concealed-carry purposes, nothing beats a Smith & Wesson 342.

1. "Skinny" is a relative term. Some might call that person "little fat man who sold his dream."
2. I can be distinguished from Glenn Reynolds by my capacity for more than one facial expression.
3. As for my groups being covered by a dime, I would say that is true when it's true. Then again perhaps by "dime," Aaron was referring to the girl in the pink shooting jacket.
Shooting virtually any 1911 makes me hate Glocks, but Glocks are real good for killing people, and that's why I buy 'em.

Shooting guns does not make one right wing. But it doesn't hurt, uless the gun smacks you in the forehead.
BTW. You have a great stance. Are you lining up on your left? Is Moxie left eye dominant? What a scandal that would be. Don't worry just becuase you are a lefty doesn't mean you are a Democrat/Communist.

my left eye is actually my better eye. Don't hold it against me...
Posted by: Moxie at January 24, 2007 10:38 PM
Wow. Steve H. has a much better ass than I ever expected.

I was going to say the same thing, Bedhead.
