more lessons from the left
Because I strive to understand liberals, I like to watch the movies they make.
I know what you are thinking -- how can I, Joe BlogReader, find one of these movies to watch firsthand?
Thank me later, but I do have an answer. Liberal movies, luckily for you, comprise 99.99% of all movies you can find on cable, Netflix, the local theater, or on the fine shelves of your neighborhood rental place. Shocking, I know. Who would have guessed an anti-American fringe movement had such visibiility.
Conservatives must be much busier. Who can make a movie while terror reigns, or babies are killed (and not by Dick Cheney), or Nancy Pelosi can spew her liberal diarrhea over anyone within earshot of her person, the TV, radio or YouTube.
Last night I watched some Hollywood movies. Five to be exact, along with some friends.
But right now, I'm only going to talk about the movie that taught us the most. You see, after one movie ended we'd look around at each other bewildered. Was there a plot? Why was this film made? What did we learn from it?
Well, here's something important from 2002's The Rules of Attraction. So listen up.
Those of us on the right who think gay men engage in nothing but bum fun and think gay men seek highway rest stops as vacation destinations are completely wrong.
Mark my words, since I am so very rarely wrong. It might not happen again in the next 10-20 years. So this is monumental.
What I learned from that liberal movie is that in the privacy of their own homes; gay men do nothing more than jump around together on their bed, dancing and laughing in their boxer-briefs.
Why are Republicans so upset by this behavior? I am shocked and appalled.
Why shouldn't one boxer-jumper be able to call their union to another jumping for joy boxer wearer a "marriage"? Obviously this is not significantly different than a man and woman who marry for love and want to have a family.
I'm just sayin'. I'm learning a lot from teh movies.

jumping for joy
That phrase brings one of your best posts to mind.
"The Rules of Attraction" is based on a novel by Bret Easton Ellis, the same literary "genius" who brought us American Psycho. Not surprisingly, the movies are just as nonsensical as the books.

Hey, I got my Dali from Roger Avary. Don't tell me you didn't at least dig the reverse keg roll.

I hate boxer-briefs, but they do show off the bum and thighs nicely.
Were there pillow fights? And unicorns?
