This song has been stuck in my head for what seems like a couple of weeks. Maybe you can remove it for me.

Flight of the Conchords is on HBO. And if you aren't watching it -- you are doing something very wrong with your life. I suggest a time out, you motha flipper.

"jeremiah was a bullfrog" as sung by agent scully to agent mulder while they were trapped in the middle of a lake has been stuck in my head for the better part of a decade. . .

Flight of the Conchords is gay and belongs on the British Channel right after Benny Hill. What you need to watch is John from Cincinnati. You’ve gotta love lines like, “I don’t know Butchie, instead” or “see God Kai.” Plus, Ed O’Neill’s character is classic!

I honestly thought that was going to be "The Humans Are Dead"!! That was pretty cool. "We used poisonous gasses. We poisoned their asses". "This one is dead. I poked it, it's dead. Smell this one, it's dead". And "Inner City Pressure" was a great Pet Shop Boys style song.

The problem is .. what's going to happen to the show when they've used up all the songs they've been doing here in New Zealand for the last few years?

And can you understand their accents? They've made a joke at least twice now from people not understanding them e.g. Brett's name "Brit".

Good point about the songs. Hopefully they write new ones.

Yes, I can understand them. I have family from London and Australia. Though you will say the accents are totally different, I don't hear a huge difference.

The other joke was "What if he's dead" and the American guy says, "What if he's did, WHAT?"

Hilarious.

i could always understand the accents but it wasn't 'til i lived in scotland that i could tell the difference between irish, scottish, english, south african, and aussie/kiwi accents. . . i still can't tell the difference between aussies and kiwis although people tell me it's really obvious. . .

The guy from the Australian stand at the expo was a classic Melbourne accent. Both the Australian and NZ accents are heavily influenced by cockney, but I I think the Melbourne one has a lot of Greek and Italian in it.

I have no good explanation for the "Steve Irwin" Northern Territory/northern Queensland accent. I just don't.

I thought they could have taken the "that's not a knife!" joke a bit further in the clip you pointed to. A lot of viewers probably aren't old enough to remember Croc Dundee.

I like this performance of "Humans are Dead":

Sure Moxie, I can get that out of your head.

All you have to do is come down here to Florida, I will take you to Disney, and we will go no the "It's a small world after all" ride :)

That song will drive ANY other song out of your head.

My favorite so far could apply to you, Mox!

"you're so beautiful you could be a part time model ... but you probably still have to keep your normal job."

Great New Show!

I thought "flight of the conchords," was supposed to be "flight of the concordes" and a joke about live earth.

Posted by: Wickedpinto at July 11, 2007 6:51 PM

Live Earth was it's own joke.

But there ain't no party like my nanna's tea party. Hi! Ho!

TUA, I just peed my pants. Okay so I do that a lot, but it was more than usual.

I think your song just edged my song out of the old noggin. I'll report back on how long this one sticks.

Hope you all survived seeing Jermaine full frontal.

Jemaine is sexy Bruce. I think he's my favorite. Though I like Bret's sideways grin.

I am at least excited that now America have now experienced the difference between a new zealand accent and an australian one. Before new zealand was just some country that may as well have been just part of australia and so many people thought that!

it's good that even though its through entertainment new zealand is now recognized as unique country with it's own culture even if it's through two guys that are extremely, extremely dry.
