Sounds like a good start to iron out the bugs and find new ones. Stop apologizing and keep practicing the technical stuff. Then have a script or outline of where you're going so you don't sound lost. I spent about 15 years in radio and still used notes for my talk sets. If you get discouraged early on by the tech stuff people might miss out on your content. Also consider playing with different settings on the microphone volume and/or try different mics. You're venturing into a world I haven't had time to apply myself to and I admire you for doing so.

I was musing as to why Limbaugh continues to support the Half Hour News Hour. I actually think he likes the show. I liked his show for the political discourse, but never cared much for his "comedy" bits...mostly impersonations of polititians singing. Not very funny, really. Just a thought.
