momentary email amnesty

I'm finally out of the old place, but fighting for my security deposit, unpacking and basically overwhelmed. I have hundreds of emails to respond to and life comes first.

For those who are curious, the roof at the new place is already leaking, I've had shit stolen from both the mail and from the garage. My housekeeper decided to "help" by hiding boxes, moving furniture (scratching the hardwood floors) and by taking over 3 of my cabinets for cleaning stuff.

I love her, but seriously do we really need 2 cabinets stuffed with rags to clean 1,500 sq feet? The third is packed with enough chemicals to be considered a WMD. One cabinet is enough for rags and chemicals, if you ask me. And no one did. If I can't decide how my own storage space is used, what good am I at all?

And there are still a lot of tears and a huge gaping hole in my heart over my Bentley. Not to mention guilty feelings for not loving Phoebe and Puff as much as I did him.

Part of me wants another Birman as quickly as possible, and another part of me never wants to love that much again to prevent feeling this kind of pain when the inevitable end arrives.

NowLive show is on for Thursday. I promise.

After the last gerbil died I had to institute a no animal with a lifespan of less than 10 years allowed in the house. It was just too hard to go through every 3 years. It's hard to decide whether to get another pet, but at least with cats the joy far out weighs the hardship. Good luck.

I'm so sorry for your loss. But you will love that much again. It won't be the same, but it will be unconditional love, and that's the best kind anyway. It's only fair to the legions of un-loved pets. You will have your heart stolen again, and I'd be willing to bet it will be when you least expect it. God bless Bentley, and you.
